Getting started

Quick start

Open a channel, connect a wallet, send messages, and understand Gas.

  1. Open detalk.to/0x... with the target wallet address. A claimed Detalk Name or verified ENS name may also resolve to an address channel.
  2. Connect an EVM wallet and select the supported network shown by the application.
  3. Read publicly without joining. To post, satisfy the channel's posting rule.
  4. Enter a message and confirm the wallet transaction. Pressing Enter sends; Shift+Enter adds a line break.
  5. Use Reply to create a new message that references an earlier message. Edit publishes an additional event and does not erase history.

Gas and fees

Ordinary posting has no Detalk message fee. A direct wallet transaction still consumes network Gas. Paid membership is a separate one-time channel join payment; it is not a per-message charge.

Never send funds to a message ID, transaction hash, or channel ID. Only wallet addresses are payment destinations.
